Green participates in exhibit that celebrates Thoreau

Associate Professor Gary Green will show his photographs from Along the Golden Road (2008) and Along the Golden Road, Part II (2017), in a group show organized by the Maine Museum of Photographic Arts and the University of Southern Maine. The exhibition, a celebration of the bicentennial of the birthday of Henry David Thoreau, is titled after a quote by the author. The artists reception will be held Thursday November 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the 5th floor gallery of USM’s Glickman Library in Portland.

Connected to the event will be an artists panel featuring Professor Green and two of the participating artists as well as a book signing for a new publication of Thoreau’s Walking, which features a series of his photographs. The panel and book signing takes place Thursday November 16, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on the 7th floor of USM’s Glickman Library.
