The Colby Magazine article “Tattoo Research Leads Deeper into Filipino Culture” highlights American studies and art history major Stella Gonzalez’s research on the tattoo tradition native to the Philippines. Stella enrolled in Professor of Art Véronique Plesch’s seminar Visual Culture of Tattooing which led to her research on the visual and aesthetic Kalinga style of tattoos.
