Colby has 10 make NESCAC All-Sportsmanship

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Women's crew All-American Caroline Riina (Baltimore, Md.) was one of 10 Colby College athletes to earn New England Small College Athletic Conference Spring All-Sportsmanship honors on Friday.
 
Other Colby athletes honored include: baseball senior captain Brendan Gallagher (Dublin, N.H.), men's lacrosse senior Brady Lenahan (Madison, Conn.), women's lacrosse senior captain Lane McVey (Bronxville, N.Y.), men's crew junior Pat Adams (Greer, S.C.), softball senior captain Kelly Roth (Deerfield, Mass.), men's tennis sophomore Sam Bachelder (Wenham, Mass.), women's tennis sophomore Victoria Abel (Carlisle, Mass.), men's outdoor track and field junior Brian Desmond (Ann Arbor, Mich.), and women's outdoor track and field senior Madeleine Purcell (Brunswick, Maine).
 
The NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes from each varsity sport who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to sportsmanship. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, and spectators. The honorees were selected by the players and coaches of their respective teams.

Riina, a senior captain, earned second team All-American and All-New England Small College Athletic Conference honors.
