MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --- The Colby College men's basketball team ended a long weekend by playing only one of two scheduled games, falling 73-47 to Wesleyan University in NESCAC play Sunday at Silloway Gym.

Colby (6-16 overall, 2-7 NESCAC) was scheduled to play at Connecticut College on Friday night and then visit Wesleyan for a Saturday afternoon game. With weather playing havoc across New England, the Mules had their Wesleyan game pushed back to Sunday. The Mules will now play Connecticut College on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Tufts University. Hamilton College and Tufts will meet in the first game of the night at 6 p.m. in a men's game. Colby must win its game Tuesday for any chance at a NESCAC playoff spot.

Chris Hudnut led Colby with 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting and two blocked shots. Ryan Jann and Patrick Stewart both had 11 points for the Mules, while Luke Westman dished a game-high six assists.

Shasha Brown finished with a game-high 20 points on 9-for-12 shooting and added four assists for Wesleyan (12-12, 4-6 NESCAC). Brian Bartner chipped in nine points and teammate Glen Thomas had seven points and seven rebounds.

Hudnut nailed a 3-point shot with 13:42 left in the first half to tie the game at 11-11, but the Cardinals went on a 13-0 run to open up a 24-11 margin with 5:38 to go. Wesleyan led by as much as 16 points in the first half before taking a 34-20 lead at the break.

The Cardinals wasted no time in moving the lead into the 20's. The largest lead of the game came at 66-38 on a Brown basket with 8:07 to play.
