Men's cross country third at state meet

GORHAM, Maine --- Charlie Coffman, Jeff Hale, and Chase Brown all finished in the top 20 for the Colby College men's cross country team at the Maine State Championships on Saturday.
 
The Mules finished in third place out of 11 teams with a score of 88. Colby started the year with a goal of beating University of Southern Maine and the Mules held firm by beating the Husies by 21 points. Bates College won the meet with a score of 29 and Bowdoin College followed with a 30.
 
Coffman had a time of 26 minutes, 9 seconds over the five-mile run to take 15th place. Hale was 16th with a 26:13 and Brown was 17th in 26:17. Ben Lester took 25th for the Mules in 26:49.
 
Bowdoin's Samuel Seekins won the race in 25:05.
