Women's hockey earns win over USM, 3-1 (11/25/2008)
GORHAM, Maine --- Stephanie Scarpato scored the game-winning goal with 5:03 left in the third period and the Colby College women’s hockey team went on to a 3-1 victory over University of Southern Maine in non-conference play Tuesday night.

Brown, women's hockey blank Camels, 4-0 (11/22/2008)
NEW LONDON, Conn. --- Lacey Brown made 30 saves and earned her third career shutout as the Colby College women's hockey team won for the first time on the young season with a 4-0 victory over Connecticut College on Saturday.

 

Brown stopped 16 shots in the second period and finished the weekend with 72 saves in Colby's 1-1 start to the season.

 

Meryl Poulin, fresh off a fine season for the Colby field hockey team, got the game-winning goal at 17:37 of the first period off an assist from Amanda Comeau.

 

Laura Anning inched closer to 100 career points with a goal at 9:57 of the second period from Elissa Kurtz. Anning has 53 goals and 43 assists for 96 career points.

 

Becky Julian added an unassisted goal at 17:09 of the second period, while Stephanie Scarpato closed out the scoring in the third period off a pass from Dana Yerigan.
