Apply for Grants

Colby students and faculty from all disciplines are invited to apply for funding from the Buck Lab to support projects related to climate change and other environmental issues. Each year, the Buck Lab funds dozens of students doing research projects, community-based projects and internships during January and summer. The Buck Lab offers:

• Student independent research grants
• Student-faculty collaborative research grants
• Student internship grants
• Community engagement grants
• Funding for special projects

In addition, each year the Buck Lab offers funded summer internships with ongoing partners in Maine, including Gulf of Maine Research Institute, Shaw Institute, Defend Our Health, Maine Farmland Trust, and Alfond Youth and Community Center.

Two rounds of grants are available during each academic year to support projects in January (October deadline) and summer (April deadline). Please follow the grant guidelines, and for more information, contact [email protected].
