Course Design Institute – January 2019
The January Course Design Institute is a three-day institute where participants – individually or in teams – design or redesign a portion of a course using evidence-based course design principles to enhance student learning. Specifically, participants will focus on connecting course learning outcomes with assessments and teaching strategies. The Course Design Institute strives to expand participants’ pedagogical content knowledge and develop relationships that enhance teaching through collaborative exercises and small team learning experiences. Methods used during the institute can be applied to other courses or course units.
