Pulitzer Finalists

 

 

Liberal HourProfessors G. Calvin Mackenzie (government) and Robert Weisbrot (history) were among the three finalists for the Pulitzer Prize in history for their book, The Liberal Hour: Washington and the Politics of Change in the 1960s, which was described as “an elegantly written account of a brief period in American history that left a profoundly altered national landscape.” The award went to The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family by Annette Gordon-Reed.
