Professional Information

Lia Morris is thrilled to return to Colby as the STEM Advisor for DavisConnects. Lia is no stranger to the Colby campus having spent eight years as Coordinator of the Environmental Studies Program. She is delighted to be back advising students and building networks to support positive student outcomes. She has spent over 23 years involved in the nonprofit sector as an employee, intern, and volunteer. She has worked or volunteered with the likes of the Penobscot River Restoration Project, The Nature Conservancy, Trust for Public Land, and the Environmental Defense Fund, much of the work bridging policy and science. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Tufts University in Environmental Policy with a focus on natural resource management. She obtained her BA in Environmental Studies, with a minor in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She lives in Oakland, Maine with her husband and two children.
