Lyrical Sources: A Poetry Reading: 11/18/19
Poet, historian, and former Faculty Fellow Katherine Hollander reads from her recently released book of poetry, My German Dictionary, winner of the 14th annual Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize. Hollander’s work has appeared in Literary Imagination, Slate, Hunger Mountain, Tupelo Quarterly, The Brecht Yearbook, and New German Critique.
Ryan Harper reads from his first book of poems and from his current project, a collection that wrestles with the geopolitics of American riverways. Faculty Fellow in Religious Studies, Harper is the author of The Gaithers and Southern Gospel: Homecoming in the Twenty First Century and My Beloved Had a Vineyard, winner of the 2017 Prize Americana in poetry.
