Prajwal Parajuly is the son of an Indian father and a Nepalese mother. He is the author of The Gurkha’s Daughter, a bestselling collection of short stories, and Land Where I Flee, his first novel and an Independent (London) book of the year. Prajwal is a writer-in-residence at Truman State University and heads the writer-in-rsidence program at the L’Ancienne Auberge in Puycelsi, France.
