Each year the Goldfarb Center and DavisConnects, together with Colby’s Office of Advancement, fly 30 students for a two-night trip to Washington, D.C. to engage with experts on public policy issues, explore career opportunities in government and politics, network with alumni, and tour the Capital.

H2H (Hill to Hill) Students participating in the Goldfarb Center’s new facilitated internship program in D.C. are required to take part in the trip. This call provides an opportunity for a group of students to participate in this portion of the program. Those who applied but were not accepted to the facilitated internship program will be automatically considered for the H2H program.

Students who are accepted into the program are required to participate in a preparation workshop, which will be held (TBD).

Application and Cost Details

All Colby sophomores, juniors, and seniors are welcome to apply.

Applications are due by Sunday, November 11th at 11:59 p.m EST.

Expenses covered by Colby include:

  • Flights and transportation costs (students book their own travel with $350 travel stipend**)
  • Accommodations for Sunday, Feb. 3 and Monday, Feb. 4 (booked by the College — students will be asked to share rooms.)
  • Metro fees
  • Most meals
  • Group tour expenses

**Students will be issued $350 to use to purchase flights and other travel-related expenses. Disbursements are expected to take place in the first and second week of December.
