Please refer to the memo "Setting Your Colby Computer Account Password" which was mailed to you. Find your personal computer username and random key, items (b) and (d) on the first page of this memo. Enter this username and random key into the two boxes below.
The random key is only used to set your computer password on this webpage, so you do not need to memorize it. It should be entered exactly as is shown on the enclosed sheet. The difference between upper- and lower-case characters is important!
Your password must meet the following criteria:
Punctuation characters are characters like periods, commas, and question marks. A weak password is determined by examining the non-punctuation portion of your password. If it contains any of the following information the password is considered weak and will be rejected:
Suggestions for a good password:
Passwords are case sensitive! Mixed case passwords are recommended.
Use typewriter keys only! Avoid keypad keys, Mac specific keys (such as the 'apple' key) and invisible characters such as the escape key.
Do not write down your password! Never tell anyone your password!
