Join Julia von Ehr, Sarah Backstrand and Sam Krumholz on the second Dialogue Trip of the year this Saturday, March 10th! Dialogue trips are focused on the discussion of different social, economic, or cultural aspects of how we relate to the outdoors. This trip will focus on socioeconomic class and getting outside at Colby, looking at how outdoor culture and financial barriers affect accessibility to the outdoors both at Colby and in general society. The trip will be heading to the beautiful Flagstaff Hut and will consist of a 2-mile snowshoe along flat terrain to the hut, lunch and dialogue at the hut, then a 2-mile snowshoe back to the trailhead. The trip should get back to campus early-to-mid afternoon. No outdoor experience or dialogue experience required, and all necessary gear (snowshoes, jackets, etc.) can be borrowed from the COC for free!
