Important update on the March 12–13 Lunder Institute public events

Out of an abundance of caution, as the United States faces an outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Lunder Institute for American Art has decided to cancel the public conversation with David Driskell and Curlee Holton on March 12 and to convert the research symposium on March 13 to a live-streamed event online. Visit our Eventbrite page for the link. There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Colby College, but we understand that concerns about the virus are high across the country and many institutions and individuals are canceling non-essential travel and/or large in-person gatherings. Note that we are planning to adhere to the schedule of talks previously announced. Any questions should be directed to Tanya Sheehan, Lunder Institute Director of Research, at tanya.sheehan@colby.edu.
