
Jacob McCarthy writes about alumni relations and development issues and has a special interest in the humanities. He began his career in higher education communications in 2006 as an editor of dairy science publications at Michigan State University. He is a graduate of Lawrence University and earned a master’s in rhetoric and writing from Michigan State University, where he was also an adjunct instructor. He grew up in central Maine, and he is a musician and a returned Peace Corps volunteer.
