, Oct. 4, 2011, in Marlow, Ala., at 81. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and then earned a master’s of divinity from Hartford Seminary Foundation. He was ordained with the United Church of Christ, and while in the ministry he also worked with Bethany Homes. He traveled in an RV during retirement and worked at dog shows. He and his wife, Josette, raised four children.
