Aug. 20, 2012, in San Diego, Calif., at 82. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Coast Guard Reserve captain for 20 years. He worked as a financial consultant with New York Life. After moving to California following 40 years on the East Coast, he started the Rancho Bernardo New England Club for those, like himself, who missed East Coast family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Valerie.
