Colby Museum Internships
We offer a variety of internship options for Colby students. We hire interns to work during the Fall and Spring Semesters, working about 10 hours per week in various departments. During the summer, we hire students to work 35 hours a week at the Museum. Also during the summer months, we coordinate internship opportunities with our partner institutions.
The internship program is designed to give Colby students an opportunity to develop skills and complete projects under the supervision of museum staff members in various departments. The experience introduces interns to the museum’s mission and offers experiences that include visiting cultural institutions, learning about current issues and careers in the museum field, and strengthening professional and networking skills. All internships are paid. No prior experience is expected.
