The Colby Wind Ensemble and the Colby Jazz Ensemble will both present fall concerts of international music in November in Colby’s Lorimer Chapel. The Colby Wind Ensemble will perform “Country Suites and City Sounds” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 3. The Colby Jazz Ensemble will present “International Jazz Travels” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 10. Eric Thomas will direct both concerts, which are part of the 2001-02 Music at Colby concert series and free of charge.

On November 3, the Colby Wind Ensemble will perform international works including Variations on a Korean Folk Song by John Barnes Chance, a suite by Gustav Holst and Leroy Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday.

On November 10, the Colby Jazz Ensemble will perform jazz selections with influences from Latin America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
