On Saturday, October 26, the Colby Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Jonathan Hallstrom, will perform its first concert of the fall season. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Colby’s Lorimer Chapel on the Waterville campus. Part of the 2002-03 Music at Colby concert series, the event is open to the public and free of charge.

The concert will feature principal cellist Steve Witkin in a premier performance of Hallstrom’s new cello concerto. Also included in the concert program will be Rossini’s Overture to La gazza ladra, Bizet’s Symphony in C and William Boyce’s Symphony No. 4.
