On Saturday, November 23, at 7:30 p.m. Collegium Musicum, Colby’s early music group, will perform a selection of music for the Advent season. The concert will be held in Lorimer Chapel on the Waterville campus. Part of the 2002-2003 Music at Colby series, the event is open to the public and free of charge.
Collegium Musicum’s program will feature M. A. Charpentier’s Seven O Antiphons and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata Nun komm der Heiden Heiland.
Directed by Steven Grives, visiting professor of music, the Collegium Musicum is a 25-member ensemble of students and community members who perform music from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque periods. For more information on Music at Colby events contact Diane Kadyk at 207-872-3236.
