Colby College will hold its ninth annual Children’s Halloween Extravaganza on Saturday, October 28, from noon to 3 p.m. The event is free and designed for children under 11.

Activities, including a haunted house and a magic show by the chemistry department, will take place across campus. Children can also participate in pumpkin painting, donuts-on-a-string, making graveyards and caramel apples, and more. Children (and adults, if they like) are encouraged wear costumes.

The Halloween activities will begin in the Pugh Center of Cotter Union, where maps will be available indicating other events in designated areas of certain residence halls. All children must be accompanied by an adult and must bring a bag to hold candy and crafts.

The event is organized by the Colby Volunteer Center as a fun and safe alternative to trick-or-treating on the streets. For more information contact the Colby Volunteer Center at 859-4150.
