Matt Apuzzo ’00, national legal affairs correspondent for the Associated Press, first wrote the story of a Texas businessman trading in decomposing cash for fresh, ready-to-use American dollars. Watch the clip.
Apuzzo rose quickly through the ranks, from covering sports for the Echo to covering some of the nation’s biggest stories for the Associated Press. He went to New Orleans just after Hurricane Katrina and to Virginia Tech after the April shootings. Apuzzo works out of the Federal Courthouse in Washington, D.C., where he covered the Scooter Libby trial, among other political scandals. Read a recent Colby magazine Q&A with Apuzzo.
