When Lindsey Vonn’s mother, Linda Krohn ’74, played on Colby’s pioneering women’s ice hockey team, her mother told her to stop “so she wouldn’t lose her teeth or something,” recalled a friend of Krohn from those years. Now Krohn’s friend “smiles with glee that Linda’s daughter, Lindsey Vonn, races down mountains at world-class speeds and that women’s ice hockey is in the Olympics, too.”
