Farm-related reliefs by Bernard “Blackie” Langlais were featured along with a video about the artist’s career and legacy May 2 at the CEBE Gallery in Norway, Maine. Langlais is best known for his wall reliefs and wooden sculptures inspired by his rural Maine roots. In 2010 Langlais’s wife donated more than 3,500 of her late husband’s works to the Colby College Museum of Art. The curators have chosen to keep a few hundred pieces and place the remainder under the care of the Kohler Foundation.
