After receiving the estate of Maine-born artist Bernard “Blackie” Langlais as a bequest from his widow, Helen, in 2010, the College now presents the most comprehensive exhibition of the artist’s work on record. Langlais is famous for his oil paintings, ink drawings, and, most prominently, his wooden animal sculptures and geometric wall reliefs. The Bernard Langlais showcase will remain on view until Jan. 4, 2015.
