Aquib Yacoob ’15 visited Ferguson, Mo., this summer to examine the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting. Yacoob traveled with a group from Amnesty International, a program that promotes human rights and participates in global campaigns against injustice, during its human rights abuse investigation in Ferguson. The experience inspired Yacoob to create a public exhibit on Colby’s campus designed to raise awareness and start a dialogue about the difficult and often controversial issues of gun control, police violence, and race in the United States.
