Renovations are underway at the Bernard “Blackie” Langlais house, barns, and art studios in Cushing, Maine, and the property is scheduled to open to the public in the spring as an art preserve. The preserve will be part of the Langlais Art Trail, a collection of Langlais’s work located in institutions throughout Maine, including the Colby Museum of Art, where the artist’s first retrospective is currently on view.
