Joseph Reisert, Colby’s Harriet S. Wiswell and George C. Wiswell Jr. Associate Professor of American Constitutional Law, discusses the Maine governor race and the effects its outcome will have on Maine citizens. Reisert says that when Governor Paul LePage took office, in 2011, after years of  economic decline, Maine began seeing modest yet real improvements thanks to his reforms. Reisert discusses these reforms as well as the Democratic standpoints, which, in Reisert’s opinion, might be detrimental to the state.
