Associate Professor of Art Tanya Sheehan presented a paper at the third International Conference of Photography and Theory (ICPT) in Nicosia, Cyprus, Dec. 5-7, 2014. Her paper, derived from her current research, was titled “Political Matter: Photography and Race.”

The ICPT was created to provide an outlet for an interdisciplinary and critical theoretical exploration of photography and photographic practices. ICPT 2014 brought together researchers and practitioners from diverse fields of study who share a common interest in photography.
