Ned Warner ’09 and his alternative-country band, Lake County Rain, were to perform Feb. 27 at Vail Ale House in Vail, Colo. Originally from New York City, Warner knew that Colorado was where he ultimately wanted to be since age 13, when he spent three weeks on a backpacking trip near Telluride. He started his band upon settling in the Vail Valley. “Wherever I am,” he said, “I try to surround myself with the best musicians I can find and play gigs locally.”

Lake County Rain has four full albums and three EPs, with another EP scheduled for release in March.
