Listen to this page. Works by Bern Porter from Colby College Special Collections, on display at the Colby College Museum of Art through May 10, features the art of Bern Porter ’32, a Maine-born physicist-engineer-turned-poet. The exhibition features more than 60 of his original collages—what Porter referred to as “founds”—from The Book of Dos (1982) and from Here Comes Everybodys Dont Book (1984). Though both books were published in black and white, the exhibition displays the original versions, many in color, and provides an opportunity to admire Porter’s skill with scissors.
