Veterinarian Norm Stillman ’92 will celebrate 10 years of his practice, Court Street Animal Hospital in Plymouth, Mass., this year. Known locally as the “dog and cat whisperer,” Stillman lets his patients roam around the large exam room while he talks to the owners to find out what’s wrong and how he can help. As a student, Stillman wanted to be a vet but also valued communication and compassion. “I think medical vet school is so focused on people being good at science they forget to find out if people are nice,” he said.
Stillman loves his work so much he considers it a hobby. “It is truly, for me, the most wonderful job in the world,” he said. “I feel like this job and the community have embraced me and the given me a hug every single day. I can’t tell you how fortunate I feel to live and work here.”
