In an Oct. 12 National Review artcle titled “In Maine, Trump Exposes Cultural Fissures among Whites,” Professor of Government Dan Shea comments on why Maine may divide its electoral votes in November for the first time in history. “There’s a lot of working-class white voters in Maine who say, ‘Both parties have let us down,’” said Shea, director of the Goldfarb Center. “They’re attracted to Trump and Paul LePage because they’re so different. They seem to be breaking that mold.”
