Columnist Amy Calder included a quote from President David A. Greene’s Martin Luther King Day talk Jan. 15 in her Jan. 22 column titled “In these times Robert Frost’s voice resonates.” The column evokes Robert Frost’s poetry, including “Fire and Ice” and “Once by the Pacific,” and pulls in a line in Greene’s talk: “So where is our outrage?” Greene asked, “when talking about the ways we value some people’s lives and devalue others based on their standing, wealth, position, gender and color of skin.” To which Calder replied: “Yes, ‘Someone had better be prepared for rage,’ as Frost so aptly declared.”
