Director of the Colby College Museum of Art Sharon Corwin was quoted in an article in Art New England about the New Media Arts Consortium, of which the museum is a member. The consortium was initially Corwin’s idea after realizing that acquisition of film and video work can be expensive. “As we wanted to build a new media collection, we realized we’d be stronger with partner institutions,” she said in the January/February issue of ANE. The article looks specifically at the consortium’s first acquisition, Tango for Page Turning, which, when Corwin proposed it, “Everyone said, ‘yes, this is the one’.”
