Loren McClenachan, the Elizabeth and Lee Ainslie Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, Sahan Dissanayake, former assistant professor of economics, and Ryunosuke Matsuura ’17 have a new paper in Frontier in Marine Science titled “Shifted Baselines Reduce Willingness to Pay for Conservation.” The authors “investigate how perceptions of change in coral reef ecosystems affect stakeholders’ willingness to pay for the establishment of protected areas.”
