The Maine Conference for Jewish Life, held June 8-10 in Waterville and hosted by Colby’s Center for Small Town Jewish Life, was covered by WABI-TV news. The center director Rabbi Rachel Isaacs told WABI that “more and more the word is getting out about what makes Jewish life in Maine quirky, and fun, and unique, and in some ways better.” More than 240 people attended the conference from across the country and around the world. “To know that there are people in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and New York City,  Los Angeles who are talking about Maine Jewish life is really exciting,” Isaacs said.
