The Club is run by the dedicated individuals that comprise our committees. They work tirelessly in five separate areas to make sure everyone at Colby has an opportunity to engage with the outdoors. You can learn more about joining them here.
The Gear Committee is responsible for the maintenance and organization of the COC’s gear collection, proposing new gear purchases for the club, and facilitating Pro Deals for COC committee members and trip leaders. Contact: Molly Gardner and Will O’Connor
The Events and Community Outreach Committee this committee promotes and facilitates Outing Club events for the campus community: film screenings, speakers, cookouts, other rad stuff. Contact: Joseph Savage and Zoë Ward
The Trips Facilitation Committee facilitates leadership development opportunities for COC trip leaders, promotes clinics for club members, and generally works to streamline the trip leader process. Contact: Bentley Meyer and Jackie Florman
The Diversity and Inclusion Committee addresses issues of accessibility, diversity, and social justice as it relates to the Outing Club and the outdoors in general through trainings and education. Contact: Lacey Wright
