Recreation

With good reason, Maine is commonly known as Vacationland. It offers many outstanding recreational opportunities year-round. Particularly during the summer, Maine has become a popular destination because of its moderate climate, pristine lakes, rugged coastline, and lush forests. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of their stay and explore the magnificent outdoors, both on campus and in the surrounding community.
While on campus, our guests may take advantage of our fitness center, sauna, indoor pool, squash courts, outdoor tennis courts, and an all-weather eight-lane track. We have miles of walking and cross-country running trails that wind through the wooded areas of our 714-acre campus and the Perkins Arboretum.
For additional hiking and running trails, guests may visit the Quarry Road Trails, located within walking distance to campus and offering more than six miles of trails. Also, near campus are several excellent golf courses, including theBelgrade Lakes Golf Club and Waterville Country Club’s challenging and well-maintained 18-hole course.
Come join us and see why Maine is called Vacationland!
