Ahead of the Game Camp

Under the leadership of new Head Coach, Chanel Harris-Smith, Colby women’s basketball has embarked on a journey of new beginnings. The inaugural Ahead of the Game Girls Basketball camp will feature world-renowned skill instructor Sean “Sticks” Smith, the Founder of Sticks Skills Training. The week-long overnight camp is open to all girls ages 10 – 18. Ahead of the Game Girls’ Basketball Camp offers an intensive basketball program focused on the teaching of fundamentals: Shooting, Passing, Ball Handling, Post Play, Teamwork, Individual Defense, and Team Defensive Concepts. Each participant will improve their individual skills and receive team-based instruction to prepare them for their upcoming seasons. Our mission is to teach the fundamentals of the game in an environment that fosters teamwork and nurture’s each campers’ love for the game.

Colby College Elite Camp

This Elite Camp is open to girls entering grades 9-12 and is intended for those who aspire to play basketball at the collegiate level. Participants will receive instruction and feedback from the Colby Women’s Basketball Staff, as well as current players will assist in the skills instruction. One of the nation’s top skills trainers, Sean “Sticks” Smith will serve as a guest coach at camp. Campers will receive rigorous, hands on instruction aimed at improving their basketball abilities for the next level. Players will leave our camp knowing what it takes to excel at the collegiate level. This is a unique opportunity to experience life as a Colby Women’s Basketball Player, improve your skill set, and be evaluated by our coaching staff. Elite Camp is capped to ensure close, individual attention by members of the coaching staff.

Summer Basketball Finale

The Colby College women’s basketball program has engaged in a joint venture with one of the nation’s elite skills trainers Sean “Sticks” Smith. The Summer Basketball Finale is the first event of its kind in Central, Maine. This camp provides the ultimate platform for exposure and an opportunity to compete against some of New England’s elite basketball prospects. This one day showcase will be covered by various nationally recognized women’s basketball media outlets. Come out and test your skills against the region’s top players. This is a great opportunity to end your summer with a bang!
