Bio

Ariana (she/her) is an actor, director, educator, and cellist. She is the Artistic Director of the International Shakespeare Center Santa Fe. Ariana has made theatre in New York, London, Madison, WI, Portland, OR, Portsmouth, NH, Santa Fe, NM and across Japan. She is a member of The Shakespeare Ensemble, an international collective of artists, and is the producer and curator of Tabling: The Podcast, and Radio Shakespeare Lab, available on all podcasting platforms.

She is passionate about the cultivation of radical empathy, and individual and community empowerment through complex language. Ariana’s teaching and directing focus on the utilization of textual analysis, creative problem solving, the development of ensemble, and movement to activate the text through the body. She has completed residencies and conducted workshops for actors of all ages throughout the US.

Over the last seven years, she has also incorporated original cello and vocal compositions into her theatrical work, writing and performing the incidental music for many productions.
