Beth Throne

Beth serves as the Dean of DavisConnects at Colby College.

Previously, she served as the Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs at Franklin & Marshall College, where she provided strategic and operational leadership to offices and initiatives that impacted student success and post-graduate outcomes, and which fostered a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusive excellence. Beth also taught courses on life design, human resources management and design thinking while leading seminars on leadership, negotiation, public speaking, and career preparation.

Before transitioning to higher education, Beth practiced law with Fox Rothschild LLP, handling employment and commercial litigation matters. Her legal career was preceded by a career with Randstad North America, an international personnel placement firm, where she began as a recruiter and progressed to the role of Market Recruiting Manager. While at Randstad, Beth taught career-skills and job-training seminars for workforce development programs, created a training division that provided employment counseling to people looking to make career transitions, and trained the company’s Pennsylvania staff on candidate recruitment, placement and retention practices.
