David's research interests include Augustan poetry, classical reception, and monsters. He has published on a wide variety of topics, including Anna Perenna, images of Scylla on the coins of Sextus Pompey, and the goddess Thetis. David also passionately uses ancient texts and material culture to encourage discussions about contemporary issues of social justice. He is currently writing a book on Giants in Mediterranean mythologies.
