Evan Dethier

I investigate changes to the earth's surface, focusing on how streams and rivers respond to disturbances like floods, droughts, dams and dam removal, and climate change. My techniques include work in the field, where I conduct water sampling and surveying to track changes in time and space. I also do computer-based spatial analysis, using satellites and big data, analyzed with python and R. My work is often student-driven, so please reach out if you would like to join my research team.
