• His research focuses on innovative literary aesthetics, narratives of identities and ideologies within the representations of gender, space and the body in Francophone African cinema and literature. He is the author of the monograph, La représentation de l’espace dans les littératures africaine et créoliste : de la polarité à sa transcendance (Paris : L’Harmattan, 2020), and the novel, Rêves d’adolescents en terre noire (Paris : L’Harmattan, 2021). He has published his work in academic journals such as Research in African Literatures, The Journal of the African Literature Association, Nouvelles Études Francophones, Cahier d’études africaines, French Studies in Southern Africa, The French Review, Alternative francophone (University of Alberta, Canada), Nineteenth Century French Studies, La Tortue verte (revue en ligne des littératures francophones, Université de Lille 3, France), CELAAN (Special Issue on the Sahara), etc. He has also authored articles in collective volumes on Ousmane Sembène, l’écriture migrante, and women in Islam.
