Manager of Desktop Systems Administration (DSA), Rurik L. Spence, leads this team that supports users of endpoint computing technology like desktop and laptop computers. DSA also helps configure hardware with Colby software and services, manages client backups, public and teaching labs, printing, and other services.
Rurik started at Colby College in 1988 as a computer consultant, later became a systems administrator, then a director. and currently a manager. He earned his Associates Degree in Business Administration from Thomas College in 2011. Outside of Colby, Rurik spends time with his family, is a backyard beekeeper, electric bass player, and likes to repair his own vehicles.
