2014 Spring Workshop Series!!

Hio Ridge Dance Collective Workshop

Hio Ridge Dance Collective artists Cookie Harrist, Delaney McDonough and Caity Richards will work with student participants to craft their experiences into scores for repeated investigation, allowing everyone in the room full access to whatever might come up . The class will begin with a simple score of solo improvisation and witnessing in small groups. We will ask students to focus on generating a group movement vocabulary and discovering games as ways to communicate with one another. The goal of the class will be to help students diversify their group choreographic processes, specifically away from conceptually-based group work to a more deeply collaborative and emotionally aware practice.
